High alert sounded on Odisha border

Bhubaneswar (01/05/2025): Odisha is on high alert at its borders to prevent infiltrators.

Police have started checking vehicles coming from West Bengal and verifying people's documents.

There are reports of widespread police deployment at various entry points.

Meanwhile, in Ganjam district's Berhampur, posters with the Pakistani flag and the slogan "Pakistan Murdabad" have been found in various places. In Bhubaneswar, blocking and checking were conducted at several places on Wednesday night.

To check infiltration, security has been heightened at religious places, crowded places including railway station and airport.
