IIIT-Bhubaneswar hosts National level E-Summit 2025 & Startup Fair
Bhubaneswar(03/02/2025): The 3-day National-level Entrepreneurs-Summit (E-Summit) held at IIIT-Bhubaneswar from January 31 to February 2, 2025, proved to be a dynamic and transformative event, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs, innovative startups, seasoned investors, and enthusiastic participants from across the nation.
The summit, organised by the concerted efforts of the E-Cell of the institute, which, focused on shaping the future of India’s startup ecosystem. The event featured a wide range of activities, including thought-provoking verbal debates, exciting pitching competitions, a vibrant startup fair, and a thought-leader Youth Conclave.
Over 50 start-ups from across the country registered for the event and many got to demonstrate their potential platforms to enthusiastic investors.
Around 6 in-house startups of IIIT-Bhubaneswar were also felicitated on the occasion. A key highlight was the Investor Panel, which featured top corporate leaders and investors, including Saurav Trivedi (Venture Bolt), Sibasish Mishra (Founder & CEO, Bookingjini), R.K.Mishra (Esteemed Investor), Soumya Darshan Mishra (Rhythmic Innovation), and Debansh Sahoo (Tech Investor, Ankur Capital).
Their expert advice on securing investments and building successful startups provided essential knowledge for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The final day of the summit saw an engaging and lively session with renowned personalities Dr.Gajendra Purohit (Founder, MathsCare) and Rishabh Jain (Labour Law Advisor).
Their interaction with students offered powerful insights into overcoming obstacles and thriving in the competitive startup landscape. Additionally, HRDC at IIIT-Bhubaneswar has been leading a series of skill-building initiatives aimed at equipping students with the tools to succeed in the corporate world.
In line with this vision, the HRDC organized sessions featuring industry experts such as Dr.Kalyani Samantray (Professor) and Subhash Mohapatra (Novartis), who addressed critical topics like corporate language skills and career development strategies.
A key programme underway is a week-long youth skill-building initiative in collaboration with Mahindra Pride Classroom and Naandi Foundation, focused on enhancing essential workplace skills.
These initiatives, spearheaded by Dr.Lipika Das (Chair, HRDC) under the visionary leadership of Prof.Ashish Ghosh (Director, IIIT-Bhubaneswar), are empowering students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in today’s competitive corporate environment.
E-Summit 2025 and these accompanying skill development programmes signal the institution’s dedication to shaping the next generation of leaders, equipped with the skills to succeed in the startup ecosystem and beyond.
