Justice Dixit Krishna Shripad sworn in as Judge of Orissa High Court

Cuttack (By Abhishek Mohanty): Justice Dixit Krishna Shripad sworn in as a Judge of the Orissa High Court.

Chief Justice Harish Tandon administered the oath of office to Justice Shripad, a former Judge of Karnataka High Court, who 
was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium to be transferred to the Orissa High Court last month.

The Centre notified his transfer on May 1.

Justice Dixit was enrolled as an advocate in July 1989. 
He predominantly practised in the High Courts, specializing Law of Writs, Election Laws and Service Laws. 

He also appeared before the Service/Administrative Tribunals of different states. He was appointed as the Senior Standing Counsel for the Election Commission of India and also as an Additional Central Government Standing Counsel in 1999.
