Orissa HC directs petrol supply without pollution certificate

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty)  The Orissa High Court has quashed the state government’s directive that restricted petrol supply to vehicles without a Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC).
The court rejected the government’s application, stating that even vehicles with pending challans would be eligible to obtain the pollution certificate.

The court has also directed the government to issue a separate notification clarifying the matter.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for next week.
