Kosamba Fair to be Held in Balasore from December 22 to 28: ‘Book Café’ to Open for Book Lovers

Balasore, 18/12 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): The district-level Swadeshi Fair and the national-level Pallishree Fair, ‘Kosamba 2025’, will be held from December 22 to December 28 at the Balasore Police Ground.

On this occasion, for the first time, an innovative initiative in the form of a ‘Book Café / Book Exhibition’ will be introduced within the fair premises, according to information shared by the district administration.

At the Book Café, readers will be able to purchase a wide range of books and also sit in a comfortable environment to read books and magazines. The core objective of this initiative is to connect readers and literature lovers with books and to promote a strong culture of reading.

In addition, a dedicated counter titled ‘Donate Books’ will be set up at the fair venue. Through this counter, residents of Balasore district can voluntarily donate books. The donated books will be placed in government libraries or schools.

The district administration has appealed to all literature lovers, readers, students, and conscious citizens of Balasore to participate in this new initiative and contribute by donating books to enrich the reading culture.
