MAN KILLED, WOMAN CRITICAL IN ELEPHANT ATTACK

Angul(29/08/2023): A woman died and her husband sustained critical injuries in elephant attack at Talagada village under Bantala Range in Angul district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Sulochana Biswal. The man identified as Chhabi Biswal was rescued by locals and rushed to a hospital. The animal entered into the human settlement in search of food last night, locals said. In a similar incident, a man was trampled to death by an elephant Baradapal village under Baunsapokhari panchayat of Hindol forest range in Dhenkanal district. He was out to attend nature's call when the incident happened .
