MARKET BUILDING IN BHUBANESWAR CLOSED FOR INDEFINITE PERIOD

Bhubaneswar (17/07/2023): The Market Building at Unit-2 in Bhubaneswar has been closed for an indefinite period from today. The decision in this regard has been taken by the permanent vendors as a part of the protest against inaction of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to remove the makeshift vendors from Market Building. On July 13, the permanent vendors of the shopping complex had threatened to close the shopping complex for an indefinite period, if the BMC fails to remove makeshift stalls within three days. The protestors alleged that they are facing a lot of problems due to the presence of makeshift stalls.

These stalls are causing unnecessary congestion at Market Building.
