New Year Poetry Meet Organised by Odia Bhasa Vikash Andolan (OBBA)

On the occasion of the English New Year, Odia Bhasa Vikash Andolan (OBBA) organised a poetry meet under the chairmanship of its President, Dr. Choudhury Satyabrata Nanda.
Young poets Rajendra Giri and Priyanka Priyadarshani Das attended the programme as guests and shared their views on the trends of contemporary Odia poetry.
The session was jointly coordinated by Joint Secretaries Jumarnath Patra and Shantilata Panda. A large number of poets including Nibaran Jena, Niranjan Raut, Rashmirekha Pati, Swati Mukherjee, Dr. Sirish Chandra Jena, Dr. Ramakanta Nayak, Anjali Panda, Dr. Laxman Charan Biswal, Eng. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Dinabandhu Lenka, Samarballav Bhoi, Shanti Bishi, Mamata Das, Priyarani Mallik, Kabita Jena, Archana Kar, Dr. Sarangadhar Tripathy, Pratima Panda, Jyotsna Ray, Subrata Mohanty, Abanti Pradhan, Padmalochan Pradhan, Prabhakar Sahu, Prafulla Kumar Mahapatra, Snigdha Samantaray, Dr. Ratnakar Singh, Dillip Kumar Nayak, Basanti De, Prafulla Kumar Das, Dillip Chakraborty, Truptirani Patra, Debashish Singh, Krishna Pradhan and Archana Nandi recited their self-composed poems.
The organisation’s Secretary, Tapan Ray, delivered the introductory address, while Kalyani Nanda welcomed the guests to the dais. The programme concluded with poet Deepak Bose presenting the closing remarks and a vote of thanks.
