No leniency for corrupt officials: Odisha CM
Bhubaneswar (28/10/2024): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Monday emphasized the importance of combating corruption during the State-level Vigilance Awareness Week program in Bhubaneswar.
The Chief Minister likened corruption to diabetes, stating it won't be easily eradicated.
The CM vowed to continuously strive for a corruption-free state and said, "Corruption won't be tolerated at any level.
There will be no leniency for corrupt officials.
Officials involved in corruption will face consequences." Speaking about the anti-corruption efforts, the government has taken significant steps, including the arrest of six chief engineers within 140 days of the BJP government. A total of 233 plots, 32 houses, and 6 kg of gold were seized from the chief engineers. The Chief Minister's message underscored the commitment to combating corruption and promoting transparency in governance.
