ODISHA CABINET APPROVES 10 PROPOSALS
Bhubaneswar(05/12/2023): The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved ten proposals on Tuesday. The State Cabinet the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender for construction of a utility corridor between Gopalpur and Tata Steel Industrial Park at Gopalpur in Ganjam district to be executed through IDCO to provide logistics facilities required for existing and upcoming industries in Gopalpur Industrial Park.
The corridor shall provide seamless and effective operational linkages between Tata Steel Industrial Park and Gopalpur Port. As per decision, the Secondary Board High School, Cuttack will be taken over by the state government with effect from January 1, 2024 provide infrastructural development as well as quality education in the school. In a major decision that promises to significantly boost the industrial and economic landscape of Odisha, the Cabinet has approved a special incentive package for the Welspun Group's ambitious projects at Choudwar in Cuttack district and Nildungri in Sambalpur district. Besides, the State Cabinet has given its approval for a proposal of Revenue and Disaster Management department for amendment of the Odisha Government Land Settlement Rules, 1983 to provide for the manner for the settlement of land earlier leased out by Puri Municipality under the Odisha Municipal Act, 1950 or under any other law. The amendments to the Odisha Food Processing Policy 2022 and Odisha MSME Development Policy 2022 also got approval from the Cabinet.
