ODISHA CABINET APPROVES 12 PROPOSALS
Bhubaneswar(14/11/2023): The Odisha Cabinet Meeting was held in the 3rd Floor Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar under the Chairmanship of Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister, Odisha on Tuesday.
Ministers of the State Cabinet attended the meeting.
After the meeting was over, Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena briefed the press about the agenda items presented and approved in the Cabinet .
A total of 12 Agenda items of 11 departments were presented and all have been approved in the Cabinet. The State Cabinet gave its approval to a new scheme called "Ama Hospital"- A transformation initiative under 5T. The Odisha government has been continuously striving towards improving healthcare services, with emphasis on improving quality of care.
Special focus has been given on obtaining patient feedback through Mo Sarkar, in order to take required action for providing patient-centered care.
In view of the above, the state government has introduced "Ama Hospital"-A transformational Initiative under 5T to make healthcare more patient centric and focus more on investing on interventions contributing towards ease of living by the patients and the family members.
Under this initiative, the government is making all efforts to transform all public health facilities at district headquarters hospital, sub divisional hospital, community health centre and primary health centre level in a phased manner to be oriented towards patient comfort and care.
Increased allocation of resources is made to address the critical gaps related to HR and infrastructure.
Besides, the State Cabinet has given its approval for construction of Bhubaneswar Metro Rail project Phase-I from Bhubaneswar Airport to Trisula Square.
The government has decided that it will be constructed by Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation Limited through Delhi Metro Rail Corporation with an estimated cost of Rs 5929.38 crore and the fee of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Turn-key Consultant) which is fixed at Rs 326.56 crore (including taxes).
As per Cabinet decision, barrage will be constructed across Rushikulya river near Janivilli village under Dharakote block in Ganjam district.
