Odisha CM flags off Run for Similipal mini-marathon

Bhubaneswar(02/03/2025): Odisha Bhubaneswar (02/03/2025): Chief Minister Mohan Majhi flagged off the "Run for Similipal" mini-marathon to promote the conservation of Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district.
The event saw over 900 youngsters participate in the 10-kilometer marathon.
The Chief Minister participated in the run, emphasizing the importance of protecting Similipal's rich biodiversity. Similipal National Park, located in Mayurbhanj district, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger.
The park is spread over an area of 2,750 square kilometers and is known for its stunning waterfalls, hills, and forests. The Odisha government has allocated Rs 50 crore in the current budget for the conservation and protection of Similipal National Park.
