Odisha State Film Awards announced
Bhubaneswar (14/11/2024): Odisha Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Thursday announced the State Film Awards for the year 2020, 2021 and 2022. The awards will be given away in 33 categories. 'Daman', produced by Dipendra Samal, has been adjudged the best movie for the year 2022. Actor Babusan Mohanty has been named the Best Actor for the year 2022 for his excellent performance in ‘Daman’.
Actress Lopamudra Mishra has won the Best Actress award for ‘Baura Hata Baksha’. Eminent writer, director and theatre personality Ananta Mohapatra has been adjudged to recieve the prestigious Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award for his lifetime contribution to the Odia film world.
He will receive the award for the year 2020.
The Minister informed that the winners of the ‘Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami’ will receive cash award Rs 5 lakh and citation. Cinematographer Srinivas Mohapatra and eminent comedian Jayiram Samal will receive the Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami Award for lifetime contribution for the years 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Saheed Raghu Sardar, Pratiksha & Dalchini and Daman have been named as best films for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively, Debashis Patra, Ankit Kumar & Dipanwit Das Mohapatra and Babushan Mohanty have been named best actor for 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively.
