Patient found hanging at AIIMS Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar (17/12/2024): The body of a 70-year-old patient was found in the Orthopedic ward of AIIMS Bhubaneswar. He was reportedly found hanging from the fan above his hospital bed. The deceased identified as Dilip Kumar Sahu hailed from Atalapur village in Jajpur district and was recently admitted to the ward. It is suspected that the incident took place late on Monday night. Police seized the body and started investigation. There were 30 patients in the ward along with 10 AIIMS staff members on duty.
Despite the presence of so many people, questions have been raised as to how such an incident could occur unnoticed.
