PHIRINGIA POLICE STATION TORCHING CASE: FORMER SARPANCH ARRESTED

Phulbani (13/08/2023): Former sarpanch Biswa Ranjan Kanhar, the prime accused in Phiringia police station torching case, has been arrested. Kanhar was nabbed from Phulbani in Kandhamal district. So far, 24 persons have been arrested in connection with the case. On August 5, a group of angry locals had set the Phiringia police station in the district on fire over alleged involvement of the Inspector In Charge and two homeguards in illegal ganja trade.
