PHIRINGIA POLICE STATION TORCHING CASE: IIC SUSPENDED

Phulbani (11/08/2023): Inspector In Charge (IIC) of Phiringia police station in Kandhamal district Tapan Kumar Nahak has been suspended by DGP Sunil Bansal for negligence in duty and fleeing from the police station during violence recently. As many as 23 persons have already been arrested in connection with the case. On August 5, a group of angry mob had set the Phiringia police station in Kandhamal district on fire over alleged involvement of the Inspector In Charge Tapan Kumar Nahaka and two homeguards Prashant Patra and Rabi Digal in illegal ganja trade.
