Plantation drive in memory of Birasen Jena

Bhubaneswar(04/08/2024): A tree plantation drive was conducted at the premises of Basantpur Primary School and its nearby areas under Tikarpada panchayat on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The programme organised in the memory Birasen Jena by Sambad Sahitya Ghara Birasen Jena Memorial Committee was coordinated by environmentalist Dr Lingaraj Sahoo. On this occasion, 700 saplings were distributed among people.

Chocolates and biscuits were also distributed to children by Dr Chinmayananda Badajena.

Headmaster of the school Dasarathi Behera, teacher Tuni Kandi, Vice President of School Management Committee Lalit Kumar Sahu, social worker Dillip Kumar Dash, Prakash Rana, Sukant Patra, Kishan Jena and Sushant Kumar Nayak participated in the programme.
