PROTESTS OVER NAC STATUS DEMAND AFFECTS NORMAL LIFE IN KHAIRA & BAMRA

Soro/Kuchinda (28/02/2024): Protests over Notified Area Council (NAC) status demand affected normal life in Bamra of Sambalpur district and Khaira of Balasore district on Wednesday. The BJP and Swabhiman Manch launched an eight-hour bandh in Khaira.

Business establishments remained closed and vehicles stayed off the roads at most places. Similarly, the Nagarika Kriyanusthan Committee has called a 12-hour strike in Bamra. Owing to the bandh, vehicular movement was affected.

Shops and other commercial establishments remained shut.
