RATION CARD BENEFICIARIES IN ODISHA TO GET 2 BAGS & RS.1000
Bhubaneswar(12/02/2024): Odisha Cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved 27 proposals from 14 departments. It has been decided that the ration card beneficiaries will get 2 jute bags and Rs.1000 cash assistance.
A total of 95 lakh 90 thousand food security scheme beneficiaries will be benefited. The state government announced a scheme called 'Swayam' for rural youths.
Interest free loans of up to 1 lakh rupees will be provided to young men and women in rural areas to start new businesses.
The loan repayment period will be 4 years.
Young men and women in the age group of 18 to 35 can avail this facility.
This benefit will also applicable to urban youth. The state government has decided to construct Swabhabi Kabi Gangadhar Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
For this, the government waived a premium of Rs.
5 crore and 6 lakh. A decision has also been taken to provide free land for 2 mosques in Bhubaneswar. The Cabinet also approved Rs.538.57 crore for setting up of eight new Extra High Tension Grid Sub Stations .
