Renowned author, novelist, and Indian Revenue Service officer

 Mrs Paramita Satpathy Tripathy has assumed the position of the new Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Odisha.

She took charge of this significant responsibility on Wednesday, April 16.

Mrs. Paramita Satpathy Tripathy is a 1989 batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service.

Earlier, she served in various positions in the Income Tax Department of Odisha and also held the post of Director of Finance at Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited (OPGC) for six years.

Mrs. Satpathy has made a name for herself both in Odisha and across the country. She received the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award in 2006, the Central Sahitya Akademi Award in 2016, and the Sarala Award in 2021, along with several other honors.

After assuming the role of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, she has affirmed her commitment to prioritizing the convenience of taxpayers in the state.
