Swetalisa Shubhadarshini Receives Arundhati Young Talent Award at 14th State-Level Arundhati Festival

The 14th State-Level Arundhati Festival, organised by the renowned cultural organisation Arundhati Kala Sansad, was held on Sunday evening at the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre in Bhubaneswar.
Odisha State Information Commissioner Pranabindu Acharya graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Dr Lalit Das, Chairman of the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, attended as Distinguished Guest. Engineer Girish Tanti, Director (Commercial and Business Development), GRIDCO, was present as Guest of Honour. The programme was presided over by the Sansad’s President Harshabardhan Udgata, and the annual report was presented by General Secretary Debananda Samal.
Speakers appreciated the organisation’s sustained efforts to preserve and promote art and culture. On the occasion, the prestigious Arundhati Samman was conferred on eminent personalities including renowned classical mardala exponent and trainer Guru Dr Gauranga Charan Mahala; Hindustani classical vocalist Guru Vibhudatta Nayak; Odissi classical music exponent and vocalist Guru Prashanta Kumar Samal; theatre director Lala Biren Ray; and researcher Professor Sarata Chandra Parida.
The Arundhati Young Talent Award was presented to promising vocalist Swetalisa Shubhadarshini in recognition of her artistic excellence.
The post-award cultural programme featured a classical flute duet by Professor Jawahar Mishra and Srinibas Satapathy, with accompaniment on tabla by Guru Kulamani Mishra. This was followed by a percussion ensemble performance by Guru Dhaneswar Swain and fellow artistes of the Badyabani institution.
The evening concluded with Swetalisa Shubhadarshini’s rendition of two devotional songs.
Members of the organisation extended active cooperation to ensure the success of the programme. A large number of art lovers from the city were present at the event.
