The awareness play "Rebati Aajib Ladhuchi" directed by Gopamudra Mahapatra was staged at the Conference Hall of Balasore District Collector's Office. The play, written by Sudhakar Sethi, was performed by artists from "Pratibimba Samajra" drama troupe.
The characters were portrayed by:- Prafulla Kumar Das (Village Head,Prabhakar Sahu (Orthodox Pandit.Dibyalochana Mahapatra (Social Worker- Sudhakar Sethi (Chief Medical Officer- Kanjamani Swain (Journalist)- Jumur Nath Patra (Gao Maharia)- Subrata Mahanti (Village Woman,Sanjukta Mishra (Rebati, 8th standard student), Ipsita Swain (College Girl Mita),Varsha Priyadarshini (College Girl Doli)
The play highlighted the issue of child marriage and its consequences, receiving high praise from the audience. District Council President Narayan Chandra Pradhan appreciated the play, calling it a mirror to society.
The District Welfare Office honored the artists with appreciation certificates. The event concluded with the artists taking a pledge to prevent child marriage.
