Two killed, 25 injured as wedding party vehicle overturns
Sonepur (By Abhishek Mohanty): At least two persons lost their lives while 25 others sustained injuries, eight of them seriously, after a pickup van ferrying a marriage band party overturned on the Sonepur-Balangir road near Haradkhol.
The incident occurred in Sonepur district when the vehicle carrying 25 passengers was en route from a wedding in Manmunda to Kalahandi. It overturned after losing balance.
Emergency personnel utilised cutting equipment to rescue passengers trapped in the wreckage. Those injured were taken to Sonepur Medical Centre for treatment.
