UNION CABINET ANNOUNCES RS 200 REDUCTION IN PRICE OF DOMESTIC LPG CYLINDERS

New Delhi(29/08/2023): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided Rs 200 reduction in the price of domestic LPG cylinders, for all users. This is a gift from PM, to the women of the country, during the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, informed Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday.

The Minister said, "All domestic consumers of LPG cylinders will get Rs 200 subsidy per cylinder. Users under PM Ujjwala scheme will get this subsidy on top of existing subsidy. On the occasion of Rakhi and Onam, 75 lakh women will get free gas connection under Ujjwala scheme." The Cabinet approved 7.5 lakh million new gas connections under Ujjwala scheme.
