WATER LEVEL OF HIRAKUD DAM ON THE RISE

Sambalpur (04/08/2023): The water level of Hirakud Dam in Sambalpur district is on the rise. Water level at the reservoir stood at 614.60 ft by 6 am today.

According to information, 4,32,808 cusecs of floodwater is entering into the reservoir while 67,690 cusecs of water is being discharged. Meanwhile, a 20-ft breach occurred in Mahanadi River near Teramanapur village under Kujang police limits in Jagarsinghpur district.

In view of the flood situation, holiday has been declared for schools in Bhandaripokhari, Tihidi, Dhamnagar and Chandbali blocks of Bhadrak district.
