Thefts reported at multiple temples across Odisha

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): A series of thefts have been reported from several temples across Odisha, triggering concern among local residents and temple authorities.

In Ganjam district’s Chhatrapur, miscreants targeted four temples late at night. At the Sai Temple near the New Police Line, thieves allegedly stole a silver crown and silver feet.

A silver crown was also reported stolen from the Ganesh Temple, while a silver serpent was taken from the Bireshwar Temple.

In a separate incident in Keonjhar district, under Bhuban tehsil, thieves broke into the Radha-Krishna Temple at Anantapur. The culprits reportedly made away with the donation box along with gold ornaments of the deities.

Police have started investigations into the incidents by examining the CCTV footages.
