Play & Blosoom Interschool Friendly Football Match held among girl students of 6 schools

People's Cultural Centre (PECUC), a leading voluntary organization in Odisha, in collaboration with AEIN, organized a girls' friendly football match on Tuesday involving six teams from six schools at the Murusuan Government High School field in Patna Block, Keonjhar. The event featured teams of girl students from Panchayat Government High School, Kendeiposhi; Murusuan Government High School; Sradhapur Primary School; Palangathi High School; Sanakhum High School; Banamhuldiha of Patna block in Keonjhar; and Gram Panchayat High School, Badjamuposhi, in Ghatgaon Block.
The "Play and Blossom" girls' friendly football match was designed to promote equality among young girls, enhance their physical and mental well-being, boost their self-confidence enhance their leadership quality. The programme was inaugurated by Khageswar Mahanta, Head Master Murusuan Government High school.  

Purna Chandra Amat, BEO of Patna, inspired the players and presented certificates and mementos to the player. 

Ranjan Kumar Mohanty, Secretary of PECUC, share the purpose and encouraged the girls to play as it will help in their overall development and will boost their self confidence. 

Anuradha Mohanty, Executive Director of PECUC, said that such programs should be organized to increase self-confidence and develop leadership among girls.

Among others Nrushinga Nath Singh, Senior Journalist, Sushil Kumar Sahoo, Panchayat Samiti Murusuan Sarpanch Harishankar Dehuri, Kiranikara Mahanta, Rajanagar Medical In-charge were present. They all commended PECUC’s initiative and encouraged the young players. As part of the event, a training session on gender equality and leadership development was held for the girl players, facilitated by Upama Mohanty, Subhalaxmi Panda & Kabita Das. 

Over 90 girls actively participated in the event, with referees Lambodhar Mahanta overseeing the matches, and Prakash Kumar Tarai providing live commentary.
