FLOOD SITUATION UNDER CONTROL IN ODISHA
Bhubaneswar (04/08/2023): The flood situation is under control in Odisha and no major damage has been reported from anywhere, informed Water Resources Engineer In Chief Bhakta Ranjan Mohanty on Friday. Mohanty said, "A low level flood has been witnessed in Jaipur district.
Two breached occurred in Brahmani river." Meanwhile, the authorities of Hirakud Dam in Sambalpur district have decided to open more gates of the reservoir this afternoon. Currently, excess floodwater is being released from the dam through two sluice gates.
