Wheat to be distributed along with rice at ration shops in nine states including Odisha

Bhubaneswar(27/09/2024): In a significant development, wheat will now be distributed along with rice at ration shops.

This change will be implemented in 9 states, including Odisha. The other states where wheat will be distributed along with rice are: Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. This new rule will come into effect from October this year. The move aims to provide greater flexibility and nutritional diversity to ration card holders.
