Transfer corrupt officers: Odisha CM to district collectors

Bhubaneswar (27/08/2024): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Friday asked the district collectors to transfer the officers. Addressing the two-day conference of district collectors and SPs at Lok Seba Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister said, "Corrupt officials will no longer be spared as district collectors have been entrusted with the power to transfer them.

This move aims to curb corruption and ensure swift action against erring officials.

Action should be taken against officials involved in malpractices to ensure accountability and transparency." Narrating an incident prior to the formation of BJP Government in Odisha, the CM shared, "A police officer in Keonjhar once misbehaved with me.

A lot of practices, which were being followed by the previous government, will not longer work.".
