Woman, minor daughter raped by domestic help in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): In a shocking incident, a woman and her minor daughter were allegedly raped by their domestic help at Badagada area in Bhubaneswar.

The accused has been identified as Saroj Kumar Behera (22) of Nipania under Tamaka police limits in Jajpur district.

He was working as a domestic help at the house of the victim woman.

Saroj had secretly captured some private videos and pictures of the woman and her daughter. 

Threatening them to make the videos and pictures viral on social media, the accused allegedly raped the mother-daughter duo several times. 

After receiving a complaint from the woman, the Badagada police arrested the accused. He reportedly confessed to the crime  during interrogation.

The police produced Saroj in a local court after registering a case against him under various Sections of BNS and POCSO Act.

According to police, the accused has several cases pending against his name in Jajpur.
