XIM UNIVERSITY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ILLUMINATIX CELEBRATED SUCCESSFUL CULMINATION OF TEDXXIMUNIVERSITY
Bhubaneswar(02/03/2024): XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, in partnership with IlluminatiX: The Media & PR cell of XIM University, celebrated the successful culmination of TEDxXIMUniversity.
The chosen theme for this year's event was " Crossroads of Change." It was a private event for the students of XIM University. TED is a non-profit organization dedicated to disseminating impactful ideas, typically through concise presentations lasting 18 minutes or less.
Originating in 1984 as a gathering where Technology, Entertainment, and Design intersected, TED now encompasses a wide array of subjects, spanning from scientific inquiry to business practices to global concerns, and is available in over 100 languages. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.
These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
The event's theme, "Crossroads of Change," embodies the focal point of this year's discourse, highlighting the pivotal role of change and the consequential decisions we face.
Talks will explore multifaceted challenges including mental health, financial dynamics, cultural paradigms, empowerment narratives, and entitlement paradigms.
Expected to be a stimulating and motivating experience for young professionals, the event aims to provoke unconventional thinking, fostering an environment conducive to transformative insights and paradigm shifts. The umbrella theme had four topics- Relocation Reimagined Empowerment, Not Entitlement, Navigating Escapism and The EMI Epidemic. The eminent speakers of the event were –Lt Gen Anil Malik, with over 44 years of experience in HR, education, healthcare, and defense, he is a seasoned leader.
His skills in manpower planning, training, and organizational development were honed in the Indian Army and later expanded into corporate leadership in business development and corporate affairs.
As a certified director, motivational speaker, and advocate for youth empowerment, he inspires others with his extensive experience.
He shared his insights and experience on the topic "Relocation Reimagined." Dr.Sunita Chugh, as the Founder of the Centre for Empowerment and Employability Education (CEEE), has dedicated thirty years to catalyzing positive changes through visionary leadership and adept management of change.
Fueled by passion, she converts her dedication into tangible results through impactful speeches, including a coveted TEDx appearance, and her influential organization, CEEE.She shared her experience and insights on the topic “Empowerment, Not Entitlement.” Dr.Era Dutta, with expertise in neuropsychiatry and life wellness coaching, Era Dutta adeptly tackles issues such as depression, anxiety, women's mental health, OCD, and stress management.
Utilizing meticulous research, she actively participates in corporate and academic discussions, utilizing media platforms to advance mental health awareness.
Her acclaimed scholarly work, featured in esteemed journals, includes a pioneering study on "selfie addiction".
She shed her views on the topic “Navigating Escapism.” Tej Kankaria, serves as a Manager within the Department of Supervision at the Reserve Bank of India, where he holds a paramount position in safeguarding the stability and fortitude of India's banking sector.
Operating as a stalwart leader, he orchestrates pivotal strategies aimed at ensuring adherence to sound practices among prominent banking entities.
Possessing an unparalleled expertise, he excels in identifying emergent risks and deficiencies across various domains, including lending, capital planning, governance, and regulatory conformity.
He articulated his perspectives on the subject of "The Emi Epedemic." The event equipped young professionals with the knowledge and experiences necessary to confront the challenges they will face in the days ahead, thus preparing them for the future.
