Balasore, 13/08 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty) — The International Youth Day was celebrated with the joint initiative of AINA, AJSA, Yuba Bikash, ARM Organization, and Youth for Water.

A significant two-day youth conference was organized to discuss the necessary social resources—especially the role of the youth—in effectively addressing both natural and man-made floods in the Baliaapal and Bhogarai regions. More than 150 young men and women from flood-affected villages of Baliaapal and Bhogarai blocks participated in the event. The conference was formally inaugurated by former Information Commissioner Shri Jagadananda.

In his welcome address, Shri Rajendra Rana, Secretary of the local ARM Organization, highlighted the history and experiences of building social resources for flood disaster management for over two decades.
