258 vehicles blacklisted in Bhubaneswar & Cuttack

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): A total of 258 vehicles have been blacklisted in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for repeated traffic rule violations and non-payment of fines.

According to information, several vehicle owners have been habitually flouting traffic norms and ignoring penalty notices. In the first phase, 258 such violators were identified, following which the Commissionerate Police formally requested the State Transport Authority (STA), Odisha to cancel the Registration Certificates (RCs) and Fitness Certificates (FCs) of the concerned vehicles.

Acting on the request, the STA has directed all Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) to blacklist the vehicles and initiate necessary steps for cancellation of RCs and FCs, particularly in cases of repeated violations.
