Bhubaneswar (Abhishek Mohanty): The World University Games 2025 is set to take place in Germany from July 16 to 27, and KIIT University has made a remarkable mark by having the highest number of athletes chosen from a single university in India.

A total of 40 students from KIT University have been selected to represent India in various sports disciplines.

This prestigious event will witness participation from more than 1,000 universities worldwide, with 400 universities from India taking part in the selection process.

The University has secured the top spot among Indian universities with 40 athletes selected for the World University Games 2025.

Odisha, the state where KIIT University is located, has a total of 42 athletes participating in the event, with KIT University contributing significantly to this number.

Total 407 athletes, coaches, and officials from India will take part in the World University Games 2025.

The Indian delegation will be supported by a team of sports officers, coaches, and medical staff.

Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT University, has wished the Indian contingent success in the World University Games 2025.
He said, "The University is committed to promoting sports and athletics alongside academics, providing opportunities for students to excel in various sports disciplines.

The selection of KIIT University athletes for the World University Games 2025 is a reflection of the university's dedication to fostering sports talent.

University Vice Chancellor Saranjit Singh, Registrar Professor Gyana Ranjan Mohanty, KIIT University's Director of Sports Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Olympians Dutee Chand and Srabani Nanda were present at the event held on Thursday to announce the achievement.
