Angika organises “Nabarasa Dance Festival 2025" in Cuttack; performances by young artists highly appreciated
Cuttack(By Abhishek Mohanty): The leading dance institution of Cuttack, Angika, has organised the “Nabarasa Dance Festival 2025” at the local Kala Vikash Kendra.
The festival was held with the aim of attracting new and young artists towards Odisha’s traditional Odissi dance.
As honourable guests, Cuttack Municipal Corporator and BJP Yuva Morcha Secretary Gagan Kumar Ojha, distinguished educationist Madhuchhanda Mishra, eminent Odissi Guru Ashish Das, and renowned sitar maestro Guru Swapneswar Chakraborty graced the occasion.
They addressed the gathering on the importance of youth in the development of Odisha’s art and culture, encouraged the artists, and distributed awards.
The festival was organised under the guidance of Angik’s Founder and Secretary Guru Srabani Mitra, and conducted by dancers Mallika Mitra and Bhaktilata Ram. Performances by young artists in Sambalpuri and modern dance styles were highly appreciated, while senior artists captivated the audience with presentations of Pallavi, Rudrashtakam, and Dashavatara. Biswajit Baliyarsingh managed the stage.
