Annual General Meeting of Fakir Mohan Sahitya Parishad Held at Shanti Kanan

The annual general meeting of Fakir Mohan Sahitya Parishad was held at Kabitirtha Shanti Kanan under the chairmanship of Dr. Subas Chandra Patra, President of the Parishad.

At the outset, senior member Sarat Das, along with Dr. Subas Chandra Patra (President), Dr. Ratnakar Singh (Secretary), Dinabandhu Lenka (Vice-President), Tapan Ray (Treasurer), Kalyani Nanda (Joint Secretary), Yashodhara Das (Member), and Pradip Chatterjee (Member), offered floral tributes to the statue of Fakir Mohan Senapati. This was followed by a one-minute silent prayer in memory of the deceased members, after which the session formally began.

Following the president’s introductory address, Secretary Dr. Ratnakar Singh read out the minutes of the previous year’s meeting as well as the annual report of the Executive Committee for the past year. Later, several constructive proposals for the progress of the Parishad were presented by Dr. Harischandra Behera, Dr. Radharajan Pattnayak, Purnachandra Panda, Prof. Aniruddha Behera, Sarat Chandra Das, Purusottam Biswal, Kalipada Panda, senior advocate Manoj Nayak, advocate Utpal Mohanty, Sannyasi Behera, poet Bimal Jena, Jitendra Upadhyaya, Sudhakar Sethi, and Gandhian advocate Mohammad Islam.

The secretary also read out and welcomed the names of new members before the gathering.
Finally, Joint Secretary Kalyani Nanda proposed a vote of thanks, marking the conclusion of the meeting.
