Balasore Artist Nityananda Sahu’s Painting ‘Arunima’ Highly Acclaimed at National Art Workshop

Renowned artist from Balasore, Nityananda Sahu, has earned high praise for his painting ‘Arunima: A Meeting of Times’ at the prestigious National Mega Art Workshop held at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
The workshop, themed ‘Ganga Pranam’, was organised jointly by the Department of Visual Arts, BHU, and the Kashika Artists Group at the Ahibasi Art Gallery on the university campus. The event ran from November 7 to 13, featuring over 35 distinguished artists from different parts of India.
Alongside Nityananda Sahu, Panchanan Samal, Principal of Dhauli Art College, Bhubaneswar, and Satabdi Rath, a noted artist from Buguda, also represented Odisha.
Artists completed their paintings between November 7 and 9, after which the exhibition opened to the public from November 10 to 13, accompanied by a series of cultural programs hosted by the Department of Visual Arts, BHU.
The works of all three participating artists from Odisha received warm appreciation, with Sahu’s ‘Arunima’ particularly captivating art lovers for its depth, color harmony, and symbolic portrayal of the meeting of times.
