Delanga gripped by jaundice scare; over 17 schoolchildren affected
Delanga(By Abhishek Mohanty): A jaundice scare has created panic in Delanga in Puri district after more than 17 schoolchildren were reported infected.
The rising number of cases has sparked concern among residents as the illness continues to spread from village to village.
Following the outbreak, the Health Department has swung into action and intensified monitoring and preventive measures in the affected areas.
ASHA workers have launched a door-to-door awareness drive, moving across villages with bells and microphones to alert residents about symptoms, precautions, and the importance of safe drinking water and hygiene.
Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation as efforts continue to prevent further spread of the disease.
