BHARAT BANDH EVOKES MIXED RESPONSE IN ODISHA
Bhubaneswar (16/02/2024): The Bharat Bandh called by Samyukta Kisan Morcha and different trade unions evoked a mixed response in Odisha on Friday. Bandh supporters were seen picketing at different places in Odisha including Bhubaneswar.
Picketing was conducted in front of Central Government offices across the state. Bus services remained suspended in Rourkela of Sundargarh district. In Angul district, mining services have been affected.
Emergency services have been exempted from the purview of the strike. The protestors alleged that the Center is attempting to suppress the movement of farmers .
