Odias stranded amid Middle East conflict; State and Centre step up eescue efforts

Several Odia nationals have reportedly been stranded due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, prompting swift action from both the State and Central governments.

Providing details on the matter, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has held discussions with the Central Government to ensure the safe return of those affected.

The Minister informed that efforts are currently underway to evacuate Odias stranded in Iran. The Ministry of External Affairs has already initiated the rescue process, he added.

Harichandan further stated that the Prime Minister has given priority to the safe repatriation of the stranded individuals.
