Bhubaneswar Chapter of ICSI organises Yuvotsav- 2026
Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): Bhubaneswar Chapter of EIRC of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised Yuvotsav – 2026 on January 11-12, 2026, for the students enrolled in the Company Secretary course.
R. K. Sharma, IPS, Additional DGP/ Special Secretary Home, Government of Odisha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during the inaugural session of the programme on 11 January 2026 and urged students to imbibe the core values emphasised by “Swami Vivekananda” on self-reliance and self-confidence. He encouraged the students to set their clear life goals and work towards achieving them with determination and discipline. He highlighted the importance of being corporately and socially responsible, stating that professional success must go hand in hand with service to humanity and service to society. Further he said that the core values of Swami Vivekananda on integrity, service, and nation-building profoundly influenced governance and public administration. He advised Company Secretary students to cultivate small positive habits, maintain a positive thought process, and continuously strive for excellence, as these practices shape character and professional success. He extended his best wishes to the students for a bright future and fulfilling professional career, encouraging them to live by Swami Vivekananda’s message to the youth: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
Special Guest Satyajit Pratihari, Mr. India, Mr. Asia, and Celebrity Fitness Trainer, urged the students to be patient and to cultivate habits of self-determination and humility towards society. He also thanked the ICSI for organising such a wonderful programme for the students on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
A special Motivational Talk was organised on 12 January 2026, wherein Rajyogini Sister B.K. Leena of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya wished the students for a better life and advised them to be supportive of their parents, to love and help one another, and to avoid unnecessary thoughts that disturb the mind.
The two-day event was marked with a Walkathon/Road Show by the students and members of the Chapter. Total 15 different competitions were organised and the winner of these competitions was awarded in the valedictory session of the programme. A certificate of participation was also issued to all the participating students.
CS Sasmita Panda, Chairperson, CS Srimanta Baboo, Vice Chairman, CS Jyotirmaya Panigrahi, Treasurer, Bhubaneswar Chapter of the ICSI also addressed the students, while CS J B Das, Former Chairman, CS B K Sahu, Company Secretary, NALCO Ltd, CS T K Sahu, Company Secretary, CS Deepak Kumar Saha, PCS and CS Sarita Upadhyaya, Company Secretary of the Chapter addressed and participated during the award ceremony.
Also present on the occasion were CS Bimal Prasad Pattanaik, and CS Rudra Madhab Sahoo, members of Management Committee and former Chairpersons of the Chapter.
A large number of CS students from Odisha participated in various events spanning the two days.
