Baleswar, 13/7 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on Saturday evening by the Baleswar Patel Samaj Yuva Mandal in collaboration with Sambad – Ama Odisha, at the premises of Umabhaban in Bhaskaraganj, Baleswar.
The camp, held under the leadership of Yuva Mandal President Gautam Patel and Secretary Amarat Patel, was jointly inaugurated by Bishraram Bhai Patel, President of the Gujarati Patel Samaj Organization of Baleswar, and Maniben Patel, President of the Mahila Mandal.
On this occasion, special appreciation was extended to all the members for regularly organizing such noble initiatives like blood donation camps in Baleswar.
Distinguished guests included Dr. Basanta Kumar Upadhyay, Officer from the District Blood Bank, Kamal Kumar Chakraborty, President of the Baleswar District Blood Association, and Chanchala Patel, Secretary of the Mahila Mandal. They not only encouraged the donors but also raised awareness about the benefits of blood donation. The blood collection was conducted by staff from the blood bank under the supervision of Dr. Upadhyay.
A total of 36 units of blood were collected during the camp. Key contributors to the smooth operation of the event included Prakash Patel, Narendra Patel, Kruti Kumar Patel, Disha Patel, Shankar Patel, Binod Patel, Geeta Patel, Vijaya Patel, Chetana Patel, Rajashree Patel, and Lakshmidhar Barik.
