Bring SOP regarding behaviour of police with army officers: Orissa HC to government
Cuttack (08/10/2024): The Orissa High Court on Tuesday ordered the state government to bring a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on how to behave with the army officers in police stations. The court has given this order after hearing the much discussed Bhubaneswar Bharatpur case on Tuesday. The next hearing of the case will be held within 4 weeks. November 12 has been fixed for further hearing of the case. During the hearing of the Bharatpur police station case in the High Court ADG Dayal Gangwar appeared in person and answered there is no CCTV in 13 police stations.
Efforts are on to start the Video Management System in police stations within 15 days.
