CHRC Organises 14th National Human Rights Conference at Bhadrak

Balasore, 28/8 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty) The Citizens’ Human Rights Clinic (CHRC), Odisha, organised the 14th National Human Rights Conference with pomp and grandeur at Rotary Bhawan, Bhadrak, on August 24 and 25, 2025. The event was conducted under the direct supervision of Bijay Kumar Nayak, President, and Badal Kishore Mohapatra, Secretary of CHRC, Bhadrak district.
Eminent novelist and story writer Rashmi Roul, along with members Basanta Kumar Dash and Sk. Nasir Bux, played a crucial role in the successful organisation of the historic event.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Hrushikesh Tripathy, IAS (Retd), former Secretary, Govt. of Odisha; Dilip Kumar Routray, IAS, Collector and District Magistrate, Bhadrak; Kabindra Nath Khatei, IAS (Retd); Janaki Ballav Mishra, IAS (Retd); Prof. Niranjan Barik, Advisor to CHRC; Prof. Jayakrishna Mohanta, Secretary General of CHRC; Dr. Gopabandhu Mallick, National Chairman of CHRC; Pramod Kumar Pattayat, first CEO of Odisha Human Rights Commission; Swarup Kumar Basa, President of CHRC, Baripada Branch; Advocate Pratap Keshari Das, Legal Advisor of CHRC; and Biswakeshan Behera, Youth Wing Secretary of CHRC.
The two-day conference, themed “We Stand Up for Human Rights”, resonated with inspiring deliberations and ignited the minds of guests, intellectuals, and the local public. All the speakers urged people to stand with those who fall victim to human rights abuses.
