Salaries of 69 mandi nodal officers suspended in Jagatsinghpur 

Jagatsinghpur(By Abhishek Mohanty): The salaries of 69 mandi nodal officers have been suspended in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha, following allegations of persistent dereliction of duty at paddy procurement centres.
The directive was issued by the District Collector of Jagatsinghpur district after reports surfaced that several nodal officers were arbitrarily absent from their assigned procurement centres, disrupting the monitoring process.
The administration has ordered that their salaries for the month of March remain withheld until further directives are issued. 

Additionally, show-cause notices have been served to the concerned officials, instructing them to furnish a satisfactory explanation within three days.

The current procurement season, officials including Panchayat Executive Officers (PEO), Revenue Inspectors (RI), and Village Level Workers (VLW) were entrusted with the responsibilities of mandi nodal officers to supervise the smooth functioning of paddy procurement operations.
