Convocation ceremony at Jewels International Chetana Institute held

Cuttack (28/02/2025): A convocation ceremony was held at Jewels International Chetana Institute to award certificates for Diploma Course on Mental Health.

First, the guests were welcomed by the inmates of Chetna Institute with Flower bouquets.

The mentally ill inmates and the staff of Chetana sang an introductory song.

The chief guest and other guests started the program by lighting the lamp.

Dr.Binaya Bhushan Mahapatra, Principal of Chetana College of Special Education, delivered the welcome speech.

Dr.Shambhu Ramesh, Senior Associate, Balm Chennai, delivered his welcome address and said that our aim is to identify all the mentally ill people in the rural areas and provide them service to bring them into the mainstream of the society.

Dr.K.S.Ramesh, Director of Education, Balm Chenai, said in his speech that the NALAM workers will be a means of socializing the mentally ill.

Dr.Narayan Chandra Pati, General Secretary of Chetana Institute and Dr.Basanta Kumar Das, Vice President, were the guests of honour.

Professor Dr.Raja Samuel, Chairman, School of Social Sciences, Chenai, was the chief guest.

The guests presented certificates to all the NALAM workers who had passed the diploma qualification.

In the finale, a cultural program was presented by the mentally retarded students.

Finally, Dr.Bichitrananda Swain, HOD Psychology, Chetana Institute, concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
