Tuhin Kanta Pandey appointed SEBI Chairman

Bhubaneswar(28/02/2025): Tuhin Kanta Pandey, a renowned Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Odisha cadre, has been appointed as the Chairman of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Pandey has made significant contributions to the country's financial landscape.

He has been appointed as the Chairman of SEBI for an initial tenure of three years. Prior to this appointment, Pandey served as the Finance Secretary, overseeing India's financial policies and decisions.

He has also worked as the Secretary of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), where he played a crucial role in managing large-scale disinvestment projects, including the sale of Air India. Pandey's extensive experience in public asset management and disinvestment strategies will undoubtedly be valuable in his new role as SEBI Chairman.
