CSIR IMMT ORGANISES DIAMOND JUBILEE YEAR SEMINAR IN COLLABORATION WITH BIS ON TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS IN THE ALUMINUM INDUSTRY, STANDARDIZATION, AND QUALITY CONTROL
Bhubaneswar(09/02/2024) : The Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR IMMT) in Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), organised a landmark seminar today at S S Bhatnagar Auditorium, CSIR IMMT, Bhubaneswar, focusing on "Technological Advancements in the Aluminum Industry, Standardization, and Quality Control." This event is a part of the Diamond Jubilee Year celebrations of CSIR IMMT. In a pivotal juncture for the aluminum industry, where rapid technological advancements are reshaping its landscape, this seminar aims to delve into the forefront of technological progress in the aluminum sector.
By bringing together key stakeholders from industry, academia, and regulatory bodies, the event explored the intersection of technology, standardization, and quality control.
Through collaborative dialogue, it paved the way for a progressive and sustainable future for the aluminum sector.
Attendees included distinguished figures such as Sanjiv Maini, Senior Director and Head, Metallurgical Engineering Department, BIS, Dr.Ramanuj Narayan, Director CSIR-IMMT, Dr.Kali Sanjay, Chairman MTD-7, BIS & Chief Scientist, CSIR-IMMT, alongside many other esteemed personalities. Highlighting the paramount importance of adherence to standards, the seminar emphasized that compliance is not merely a regulatory requirement but a fundamental cornerstone for the growth, sustainability, and global competitiveness of the aluminum industry.
