'Devotion to Lord Jagannath is the supreme truth and greatest workshop of life'
Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): Among all kinds of creation in this world, the greatest achievement of a human being is self-development. To develop oneself is the true sign of a living human being.
A self-development workshop was organized at the Jagannath Temple in RCM College, Bhubaneswar on Sunday under the coordination of Dr. Narayan Mohapatra, a promoter of Jagannath culture, and Trilochan Nayak.
In this workshop, Swarnalata Pani, Ajay Das, and others presented beautiful devotional bhajans.
During the discussion, Prabhakar Mallik and Dillip Pattnaik, who attended as guests, expressed that a person immersed in devotion and love for Lord Jagannath always becomes like a fragrant flower.
For such a person, every place appears filled with Jagannath. They experience the presence of the Lord within everyone, and their heart becomes filled with divine love. This itself is their greatest wealth.
When the intellect is refined through divine love and devotion, life rises to a higher level and ultimately reaches completeness.
Just as the deeper a well is dug, the more water it yields, similarly, the deeper one’s love for Lord Jagannath becomes, the more divine love increases.
A person who tastes this divine love experiences the touch of the Supreme Blissful Lord (Sat-Chit-Ananda), and the entire world appears joyful to them. Age is no barrier in this path. Whether one is a child, elderly, or even lying on a deathbed, one should remain enthusiastic about attaining divine love.
Those who do not invest their mind in divine love deprive themselves of the greatest experience of life. Even now, time remains. Inspiring one’s life with devotion and love, surrendering to Lord Jagannath, and taking responsibility for one’s own self-development is one’s own duty. He will never disappoint us. He is waiting for us—if we take one step forward, He extends His hand, holds us, and embraces us with love.
Discussions were also held regarding the divine activities already carried out by the Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Prachar Sansthan and the future initiatives to be undertaken for Lord Jagannath. Through this, everyone reflected on their own responsibilities and understood that self-respect begins with respecting oneself. Life is uncertain, and breath itself cannot be trusted.
Let us resolve that as long as we live, we shall smile ourselves and make others smile, expressed Dr. Narayan Mohapatra.
Participants in this workshop included Bansidhar Nayak, Bhagaban Das, Sarbeswar Baitharu, Tanmaya Jena, Akshay Upadhyay, Sarat Mohapatra, Akshay Sahu, Prafulla Das, Harapriya Behera, Bidyant Singh, Ranjan Samal, Srinibas Rao, Prashant Patra, Dillip Mishra, Ajay Das, Chaitanya Nayak, and many others, who actively took part in the discussions.
